California Academy of Sciences

The California Academy of Sciences is technically a museum, but you won’t find Picasso on the walls or Rodin’s Thinker in a sculpture garden. Rather, animals, the cosmos and other parts of natural history are the stars at this San Francisco institution. But that doesn’t mean the Academy doesn’t have artistic tastes – just observe the clean lines, sans serif fonts and minimalism used in its promotions, from its logo to exhibit marketing to advertising. I’ve even considered framing an Academy postcard or two.
