Infographic: How innovation is nickel and diming us to debt

Oh, how I sometimes long for the salad days of when watching television was free. Granted, there were only five channels, and I'm not sure remote controls had been invented, but nevertheless, this technicolor reminder of yesteryear somehow tugs at my heartstrings.

Maybe I'm just hung up on the idea of "pay as you go" entertainment. Amusement parks, movies theaters, arcades, hanging out with friends at the park drinking beer. Or wine coolers. Don't judge. Back then, it just seemed we had more control over our lives and finances.
