Mobile apps are currently hotter than any burn degree classification. Style guides of yesteryear are typically thought of as design-oriented documents focusing on branding and color usage. But with the advent of insanely large codebases for websites like Facebook or Google’s vast array of products, style guides have since evolved. These days, living style guides contain always up to date documentation of the current code […]

The same piece briefly mentioned another category of clickthrough prototypes: widget-based mockups that are designed on the target device and that expand on sketches by introducing user interface (UI) details and increased visual fidelity. The Internet is a crowded place with many websites vying for the attention of busy consumers. It’s not uncommon for websites to see bounce rates as high as 70%. In order to attract and engage visitors, a website must stand out. The best way to do that is by choosing a bold design that also […]

Sometimes you have a truly brilliant idea for the perfect presentation or infographic, however the idea never leaves the drawing board since you don’t have the skills or experience to create a professional looking result. Let us be honest, not everyone has the money to hire an expensive designer to take care of this for us. […]
Over the last week or so, I moved into a brand new office. It used to be a print house, so the floor was tainted beyond repair. (we actually took some floor tiles off and they had ink on the bottom). So we covered the entire thing with laminate flooring. Now we had some tiles that [...]
Editor note. The post has some strong graphics in it which may not be to everyones taste. Proceed with caution. Photography can be an expensive passion; and none of us have the budget of a small European country although sometimes it does feel like we need it to create amazing images. In this article I’d [...]
IR remotes are great! They are great for selfies; they are great for long exposures where you don’t want to move the camera while pressing the shutter and they are great for controlling a camera via a Smarphone. The only thing is that you can never find one when you need it. Ilya Titov was [...]
Not to long ago, we showed you how to do a similar, but more budget-friendly, method of using sound detection to fire your shutter using a TriggerTrap and a Canon 600 EX-RT, but now let’s take a look at a slightly more expensive awesome way of doing it. Enter the Broncolor Scorro and a TriggerSmart sound trigger. Those [...]
So let me show you a really good example of native advertising. Subaru paid Hot Rod Magazine's very popular 'RoadKill' show to do a challenge between the new 2015 Subaru Legacy and whatever car the Hot Rod crew had in their garage, and the result was an absolutely excellent show that is fun and enjoyable to watch, which brought with it a ton of really powerful brand value for Subaru.
